Einstein Fun Run is coming soon- May 10!

Did your kids enjoy the Science Fair last night or the Zaniac assembly on Wednesday?  Those were paid for with PTSA funds and made possible by the funding from the Fun Run last year.  Our goal this year is to raise $16,000.

The planning for the Fun Run is under way. Thank you so much to everyone who has already stepped up to help with our biggest fund raiser of the year.  We raise half the money that the PTSA uses for the year in this one event so we need lots of hands to make it light work.

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to take on the roles listed below. We have templates from past years, so you don't have to plan from scratch.

Registration & Logistics:
Coordinate all the volunteers! Organize the leaders of each station and plan each of their tasks on the event day, check the status of each volunteer, manage the logistics for the Fun Run.

 Promotion & Marketing:
Use your creative skills to promote the event on social media and website, flyers, posters, design the envelope that the kids will use to fundraise, send articles through the Ottermail, plan the presentation during the Assembly in May, and make a video to explain to new students what the Fun Run is all about and motivate them even more to participate.

To join our team of volunteers, simply send an email to fundraising@einsteinptsa.org We look forward to counting on you on this exciting adventure to make our "Fun Run" unforgettable!

 Up-Coming Assemblies at Einstein

Tuesday, March 26th (1:00-2:00pm) your 2nd – 5th grade students will get to welcome the author, Patrick Carman https://www.patrickcarman.com/. Patrick has been writing books for young readers since 2003. He has five million books published in 23 countries and has visited over 3.000 schools. Patrick loves to visit with students because he wants every kid to be excited about reading.
The deadline has passed for students to purchase Patrick Carman books through the school library. There are copies available at Third Place Books https://www.thirdplacebooks.com

Monday, April 1st (1:15-2:10) all 4th and 5th graders will experience a writer’s workshop with the author Ben Guterson https://benguterson.com/. Ben knows his audience well and creates fantasy books for young readers that kids love to read. Ben is a native Seattleite who has taught in both Colorado and New Mexico. He also worked for Microsoft for several years before focusing all his time on being an author. Ben does a great job of engaging students into the craft of writing. A student may pre-purchase any of his books through our local books store Brick and Mortar. Any book purchased before March 25th will be delivered to school and available for Ben to autograph on April 1st. This workshop is for 4th and 5th grade students only.
Flyer for ordering books.

The Science Fair was and Explosion of Fun!

Thank you to everyone who participated in helping to make the 2024 Science Expo such a fun night of science, especially the many Einstein students who shared their learning by bringing their display boards for all to enjoy. The night would not have been possible without the important crew of volunteers which included parents, students, and community members. A special shout out to the 18 Redmond High School and Redmond Middle School students who came to the event ready to work wherever the need arose.  Thank you to the community guest exhibitors who generously donated their time and talents to our school’s event. A special THANK YOU to Mrs. Johnson for organizing such a fantastic event!
